Background information:
Along with the two office buildings, a number of homes have also been built on the same site. Clearly attention has been paid to a cohesive view from the main road, so that the homes and offices are very similar in many details. The houses seem to be identical, but if you look longer you will see more and more differences. The building lines of the two-storey building volumes are shifted per volume. With the single-layer volumes, not only the fronts but also the backs are shifted. This quickly creates 9 different homes that at first glance appear to be ordered and uniform. The biggest difference is the fact that most houses are built as detached, except number 31. This is only connected to the garage and is, in real estate terms, called a semi-detached house.
Architectural details:
These semi-detached houses, which are actually terraced houses because the garages / extensions are also connected, have a modern design with only flat roofs. The masonry is sleek but not boring because, for example, the wide vertical layers can be found at the top of the house. The mottled light brown stone color contrasts beautifully with the dark brown wood extension. The two building volumes of the house are also strongly individualized. Windows on the ground floor all extend to ground level, resulting in spacious fronts at the backyard. In reality, the long facade of the wooden extension/garage connects to the similar wooden extension/garage of the neighboring house. This can of course also be chosen in model, although the buildings have been developed in such a way that they can also function as real semi-detached houses.
