Background information:
Indispensable to any ,not yet paved, construction sites is steel planking. Nowadays, there are plastic ramps for light traffic. Think of pedestrians, cars and small excavators. But more common are the steel ramps. They are too heavy to be moved by one person, so there is always an excavator or crane involved.
The idea behind a ramp is simple. The plate distributes the weight of a vehicle over a larger area, so that the vehicle does not sink and does not get stuck in the loose or wet soil. Many construction companies mark their ramps with engravings or even cut out letter combinations.
Architectural details:
Steel ramps are available in various lengths and widths. The Markenburg ramps are based on the most common sizes. The plates are almost always made of corten steel. This is strong material that is not too expensive and has a long durability in wet conditions.
Vehicles on the pictures of the steel planking are not included.
