Background information:
The term "container" is used for many things in the Netherlands. In this case, it is a steel container with lifting eye and 10m3 content. Those who work smartly while loading, can safely load up to above the rim in a safe way, thus increasing the load capacity. They are often used when demolition waste has to be moved. They can also be loaded with bulk goods, such as sand and gravel.
Architectural details:
This type of standardized container has a robust metal lifting eye on the front side and two steel beams beneath the tray. The beams serve only to pull the container onto the truck without the container actually hanging in the air during pick-up. Here, a truck is used which is provided with a towing hook, which picks up the container from the lifting eye and pulls it onto the truck.
Apart from the beams and the lifting eye, the construction of the container is not standardized. This means that there are many different containers that are quite similar to each other, but sometimes greatly differ in details.
