Background information:
Pelikaanstraat is actually right along the railroad tracks in the city of Utrecht. The one side of the street placed buildings consist of upstairs and downstairs apartments. Below are also several shops. The upstairs apartments, most times one floor, are now mostly rented to students.
The houses were built around 1930 and only have a flat roof.
Architectural details:
The housing 19 - 34 are delivered with Cross Dressing masonry, while the housing 35 - 49A have Half Stone Dressing masonry. Apart from that, the houses have a lot in common in appearance. The various segments in Markenburg allow you to make many different rows.
The homes are made by Markenburg as Half relief construction which means they do not have a rear, making them eminently well placed against the rear wall of the layout.
