Background information:
Built in 1950 as a residence with retail space at the front. Retail space that has been in use for decades as a barbershop. Currently the front part has also been converted into living space.
Architectural details:
The architectural style can best be described as reconstruction architecture with a rural impact. Chain bonding masonry is mainly used, except under the window frames of the shop, where we see a fishbone band with stones placed on their sides.
The storefronts are striking because of the relatively large size and included doors and because of the robust paneling around the window frames.
The saddle roof is playfully interrupted on one side by the low dormer.
