Background information:
Windshields with benches are a logical addition to the platform roofs with T posts. The windshields also provide the traveler with a dry place in inclement and windy weather, where precipitation sometimes blows under the relatively narrow canopies. The windshields with benches are placed between the T uprights in the longitudinal direction of the platform. In this way the platform edges remain free of obstacles, so that the flow remains optimal.
Architectural details:
The Windshields are constructed from steel frames inlaid with masonry or sometimes concrete slabs on the underside. The Markenburg model is based on masonry. The top is inlaid with glass, so that the traveler can keep an overview of the platform. The benches are supplied as standard, but can also be omitted if desired if an even better flow on the platform is desired.
Human figures in the photos of the windshields with benches are not included.
