Background information:
Small tiles are usually used on walls. A smaller size often means a somewhat busier appearance. This format was popular in, among other things, showers, toilets and kitchens of homes in the 1950s to around 1980s.
Although the title indicates that it concerns wall tiles, it can just as well be used on floors. In reality this format also occurs on floors. Some tile factories even make copies that can be used on both walls and floors. This has to do with the roughness of the tile surface and the thickness of the tile. In model, the aesthetic aspect is especially important.
Tiles can be used for a wide range of purposes, from floors and walls, particularly in the "wet areas" of residential homes, to surfaces in shops and numerous businesses. By varying the colors and sizes, a suitable atmosphere can be created for every situation.
